Climbing up the ladder

They say, if you are an employee eyeing a position, aside from your performance as a basis for assessment one thing looked into by your boss are your credentials. the higher your credential is the more viable you are for the position. That's one reason why a lot of people even those at retirement age is aiming to graduate another course or a post graduate degree maybe is scurrying their time and ached bones just to get a diploma in hope for elevation before retirement.

But is it really the credentials and the performance that is looked into by employers? Well maybe it applies to private companies, but how about in the government service?

With my more than 2 years experience working with the government sector, I have noticed a lot of biases. Slow movement for performing employees, on time salary for people who just sit down and talk trashes, those kind of people who receives salary for just exert all their energy talking about other people's lives and burying them to controversies (all just because they are permanent government employees)

I tried to ignore them and hoped other higher authorities will notice but, haven't they really notice? they have eyes so they can see I just wonder why there aren't any movement? That question, I just keep with myself. It's difficult to question authorities you know.

All those time, I have kept myself silent but, at this time that my career is at stake. Where all my sweat, tears and hard work have been inputted, should I still keep myself silent?

An open question I'd like to ask to everyone, if you are to choose between two candidates, one who is silent but is hard working but the other is bragging for accomplishments while in fact is trash talking. Who'd you choose?

I still keep high hopes that there is still a good system in the government. A system that is based on merits and performance and not that because of being friends with the bosses and having accomplices
